Collin and Steven's main level bathroom
So many old homes in Minneapolis and St. Paul do not have a main floor water closet. When we purchased this 1904 Seward home there was a bedroom with a full bath on the main floor. However, we wanted to open the kitchen up and create a mudroom/laundry room on the main level. In order to do that we had to get rid of the bedroom, shrink the bath and move walls around.

We brought our cast iron farmhouse trough sink from our previous home in Indianapolis. I had always wanted to wallpaper the homes we lived in in the past but was too afraid to pull the trigger. I am so pleased with how this bathroom turned out. It is a dream bathroom and perhaps the most interesting space in our home.
“I am so in love with how this bathroom turned out. I think that water closets are a great opportunity for bold choices. This wallpaper would be intense on a bigger scale, but in this application it is perfect.”
