Modern kitchen, classic Minneapolis home
The kitchen is the heart of the home, and for Collin and Steven it was important for it to be open to the rest of the space. They completely gutted it, added a large french door and brought in modern elements through the cabinetry and hexagon tile.

“I love our kitchen. It is modern, yet it brings in the feeling of the era of the home because it opens up to classic woodwork and built-ins from the early 1900's. I love how different styles can work together and compliment one another."
Collin on the project
Working on our own home is a labor of love and our favorite pastime. Steven and I work well together when we are inspired and exchanging ideas. It is an ever evolving space that we keep changing and refining as our family and our needs grow.
"Open concept may not be for everyone, but it works well for our family and lifestyle. From when our kids were little, and I needed to keep my eyes on them to them growing and doing homework at the peninsula."
